Before you report an issue
- Confirm you are signed in from the extension popup (magic link).
- Hard-refresh Salesforce (Ctrl+Shift+R) after changing settings.
- Check the popup — master toggle must be on.
- Note your Chrome version when reporting issues.
- Describe steps to reproduce and which page (case, Knowledge, email composer).
Frequently asked questions
- Why does the extension ask me to sign in?
- VanHix uses email magic-link sign-in to identify your account and subscription tier. Your email and device ID are sent to the license API for sign-in and Pro status only.
- What is Free vs Pro?
- Free: basic Knowledge copy and case number copy. Pro: case tab colors, attachments, contact copy, email tools, Email AI — $1/month via Razorpay.
- Extension buttons do not appear on Salesforce
- Enable the master toggle in the popup, reload Salesforce, and confirm you are on Salesforce Lightning. Some features only run in the top frame or Knowledge iframes.
- Case tab colors look wrong
- Validation depends on product/feature selection and attachment count. Switch away and back to the case tab to refresh.
- Email AI / ChatGPT flow
- Select text in the email composer, click GPT, edit in ChatGPT, then click Salesforce in ChatGPT to paste back. Pro feature. Only selected text is used.
- How do I reset settings?
- Open Options from the popup and use Reset, or sign out and sign in again. Uninstalling removes local extension data.
- Is my case or email data sent to the developer?
- Case and email content stay in your browser. The license API receives your email, device ID, and subscription status only. See Privacy.
